I’ll never forget the moment I realised something was shifting.
I was in a circle of healers, coaches, and spiritual practitioners – my people, my community. The conversation turned to AI, and the room went cold. Fear. Resistance. A visceral sense that this technology was somehow antithetical to everything we stood for.
But here’s the thing: I’ve always lived between worlds.
Long before I became a holistic life coach and author, I was the friend everyone called when their phone broke. The one who got the first smartphone in my circle (and never heard the end of it). The person who’d lose hours in photo editing software just to see what was possible, or build websites for the sheer joy of creation.
Technology has never felt foreign to me. It’s felt like another language I happen to speak.
So when AI started weaving itself into everyday life, I didn’t feel threatened. I felt curious. And when I saw the fear rippling through the conscious business world – the worry, the overwhelm, the outright rejection – I recognised something else entirely:
An invitation.
